How to stay fit and healthy during Covid19 :-
Apart from a healthy diet we need a healthy daily routine. here are some tips to keep us healthy and fit.
Need a good sleep of 7 to 8 hours a day.
Wake up early in the morning and go early to bed.
Drink hot water .
Most important, adding pranayamas or breathing techniques to your daily routine can make your lungs more efficient and healthy.
Pranayama ( प्राणायाम ) :- Pranayamas is a yogic technique in which breathing is controlled voluntarily. Pranayama strengthens our respiratory system. Breathing technique improve immunity, lower stress and enhance the quality of life. Pranayamas focuses on purification of respiratory system. Here is a list of pranayama which boosts our immunity :-
Anulom Vilom (अनुलोम वीलोम प्राणायाम )
Anulom Vilom:- It gives you relief from stress, skin problem. It increases amount of oxygen in the body. It is alternate breathing technique. It is best pranayama for respiratory problems.
Benefits of Anulom Vilom :- The benefits of anulom vilom pranayama are infinite as they have healing power of many serious health conditions improves heart health, and helps in curing other diseases such as asthma, depression, migraine, high blood pressure, arthritis, and also help in lungs corona diseases.
How to do:- Sit in sukhasana / padmasana with hands resting on knees.Close the right nostril with right thumb and inhale slowly from left nostril. Then exhale from right nostril. Do it for 2-5 minutes.
Kapalbhati Pranayama ( कपालभाती )
Kapalbhati :- Excellent pranayama one gets relief from diseases like diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, stress etc. It cures digestive disorders.
How to do :- Sit cross-legged with spine straight. Palms are placed on knees. Deeply inhale, it will draw your stomach inward.Then exhale from your nostrils with a hissing sound. Do it for 2-5 minutes.
Bhastrika Pranayama ( भस्त्रिका प्राणायाम )
Bhastrika :- It warms up respiratory system, helpful in common cold and cough. It is excellent for treating hypertension, asthma, heart diseases,TB, tumor, BP, liver cirrhosis, sinus etc. It strengthens our immunity.
How to do :- Sit cross legged with straight spine. Breathe deeply through nostrils. It will fill your lungs with air. Exhale completely and forcefully, sucking your navel towards the backbone. Do it for 2-5 minutes.
Bhramari Pranayama ( भ्रामरी प्राणायाम )
Bhramari:- It relieves you from frustration,calms your mind.
How to do :- Sit cross-legged with spine straight. Press small triangular part of external ear with thumb. Put your index finger on temple and with the help of three fingers close your eyes. Breathe slowly and deeply through both nostrils. Keep your mouth close and exhale by making a humming sound. Do it for 5 times.
Ujjayi Pranayama ( उज्जयी प्राणायाम )
Ujjayi :- It purifies and detoxifies the body.
How to do :- Close your lips.Breathe in and out through your nose .Take a deep inhalation through your nose and exhale slowly through your nose. Do it for 2-5 minutes.
You can also do yogasanas. If you find it difficult then only do Surya Namaskar. Chant the word "OM" 5 times. After doing yoga you can take herbal tea,it will enhance your energy. You can add ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric and tulsi leaves in the tea. Last but not the least be happy always. As a happy mood gives us the power to fight from respiratory viruses. Don't get nervous. We will surely win the fight against Covid-19.
